Conveniently located between two of the Tablelands beautiful towns, Atherton and Mareeba, our Walkamin Caravan Park makes for the perfect location to settle and enjoy exploring the Atherton Tablelands with ease and comfort.
The main attraction of our park is the climate of Walkamin. It sits 600 metres above sea level and whilst it enjoys the cooler climate of the Tablelands, it doesn't attract the drizzly, wet weather that comes with it. This is particularly favoured with majority of our guest’s year-round, especially in the summer months of Far North Queensland.
All our sites are very large and can accommodate all sized travellers.
We have 48 powered sites available and 10 unpowered sites and a choice of either slabbed or grassed sites.
Upon your booking we can advise what is available and where we’ll position you prior to your arrival.
Our community hub is The Shed! To call it a shed is doing it an injustice – it’s far more than a shed to us!
It has walls on two sides, a concrete floor and is furnished with tables and chairs plus sofas and armchairs around the huge fireplace where cheery fires keep patrons warm on chilly nights. The shed also doubles as a very well-equipped camp kitchen with two barbecues, a pizza oven, microwave and toaster, plus much more.
Make sure you speak with our on-site managers, Dallas or Mark if you think there are other amenities, we should at to ‘The Shed’ and we will accommodate you for your future stays with us at the Walkamin Caravan Park.
